Welcome back to our blog. Not been active on here for absolutely aaaaggeeeess, , but wanted to share our easy pizza dough technique. This is literally 100% the easiest pizza you will ever make. During Covid-19, our most sought after GreenRoom products have been
1. Strong white bread flour
2. dried yeast
The reason for this, is that soooooo many of you are experimenting making your own bread, and pizzas.
So just for fun, I thought I would share our tried and tested super easy, super fast method to create delicious, extra thin crust pizzas for the whole family.
We make pizza dough using only 5 ingredients.
1-Strong white bread flour
On this occasion, I only made enough for my youngest son Josh, (who only likes Pepperoni, and well done (burnt) by the way, which explains the photo)
but I will adapt for the purpose of the recipe to make enough for 5 pizzas.
400g strong white bread flour
pinch of salt
7g sachet of dry yeast
cold water upto 100mls (to drip into mixture, until dough is like play dough texture)
LET'S MAKE PIZZA
GATHER YOUR INGREDIENTS AND EQUIPMENT TOGETHER:
YOU WILL NEED:
PIZZA BAKING TRAY
OVEN ON 250, OR AS HOT AS IT WILL GO
YOUR CHOSEN TOPPINGS
GRATED MOZZARELLA, TOMATO PASTE (WE USE ALDI TOMATO & CHILL PASTA SAUCE) PLUS WHATEVER ELSE YOU LIKE ON YOU PIZZA.
1- WEIGH OUT 400G FLOUR INTO A BOWL AND DRIZZLE OLIVE OIL IN.
PRE HEAT OVEN TO 250, OR AS HOT AS IT WILL GO.
2-ADD A PINCH OF SALT
3-ADD THE DRIED YEAST
4-MIX TOGETHER ADDING WATER, DROPS AT A TIME UNTIL IT FORMS A DOUGH (LIKE PLAY DOUGH CONSISTENCY)
YOU MAY NEED TO ADD A LITTLE MORE FLOUR IF IT GOES TOO WET.
5-AS SOON AS YOU HAVE THE DOUGH TEXTURE, START KNEADING IT.
6-NOW YOU HAVE YOUR DOUGH!!
AT THIS POINT, YOU CAN WRAP IN CLING FILM, AND LEAVE IN THE FRIDGE TO PROVE FOR ABOUT AN HOUR, (THE DOUGH SWELLS IN SIZE)
OR IF YOU WANT, CAN JUST CRACK ON, IT STILL TASTES AMAZING!!
7-WHEN YOU ARE READY, PLACE YOUR DOUGH ON THE WORKTOP, AND ROLL AND PRESS WITH YOUR KNUCKLES, TURNING AND FLIPPING THE DOUGH.
8-ROLL OUT YOUR DOUGH, OR IF YOU ARE A CLEVER CLOGS, YOU CAN THROW IT ABOUT LIKE THE PROFESSIONALS DO.
WE LIKE OURS SUPER THIN, BUT THAT'S UP TO YOU.
DON'T FORGET TO PUT SOME EXTRA FLOUR ON YOUR WORKTOP SO IT DOES'NT STICK!
10- GREASE YOUR PIZZA TRAY. THIS IS A REALLY HANDY PRODUCT TO HAVE. i BOUGHT ONE, BUT JUST REFILL FROM MY BIG BOTTLE NOW.
11- SPREAD YOUR BASE WITH TOMATO PASTE. WE MAKE OUR OWN AT REC ROOM, BUT SCROLL DOWN FOR AN EASY ALTERNATIVE.
TOP HACK: AT HOME WE USE ALDI'S TOMATO & CHILLI PASTA SAUCE. IT'S DELICIOUS & EASY.
ADD WHATEVER YOU WANT TO YOUR PIZZA
WITH LOTS OF GRATED MOZARELLA. ADD CHILLI FLAKES IF YOU LIKE IT WITH EXTRA KICK!!
THEN POP IT IN THE OVEN FOR APROX 10 MINS.
THEN VOILA!! YOU HAVE MADE A PIZZA.
